The area of the Hawkesbury from Broken Bay to Spencer offers a wonderful selection of dining/ snacking destinations that can be accessed via boat. This includes the well established Cottage Point Inn, Peats Bite Restaurant & Riverside Brooklyn. The Cottage Point Kiosk, Dangar Island Store/Cafe, Leahs Seafood Cafe Brooklyn & Spencer General Store/Cafe all offer extreemly delicious light meals & snacks prepared on site.
There are also several excellent establishments well worth a visit that are not directly on the water.
JJ's Seafood/ Oyster Bar & Anglers Rest Bistro & Restaurant are both located in Brooklyn, & can be reached by car or train. Pete's at the Dangar Island Bowling Club is just a few minutes walk from the main ferry wharf on the Island. The Dangar Island Ferry departs from Brooklyn.
The Mooney Mooney Workers Club has both a bistro & a la carte restaurant & can be reached by both road & boat.
